About Dedicon

Dedicon makes information legible, visible, audible or tangible for people with a visual impairment. Why? Because we believe in a society in which everyone can participate to the full. We make books, newspapers and magazines accessible, and make drawings and maps tangible. At Dedicon, around 130 employees and 300 volunteers work to make information accessible.

Our clients

For the National Library of the Netherlands, Dedicon produces thousands of audio books, hundreds of braille books and thousands of editions of newspapers and magazines in audio each year. Dedicon produces adapted learning materials on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.

Dedicon is also available for all government departments and organisations, companies and institutions who want to make information accessible for everyone. With the ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Dissabilities (CRPD) all these organisations are becoming more aware of the necessity and usefulness of accessible information. With over 60 years of experience in making information accessible, organisations such as municipalities, public transport providers and museums are already using our expertise.
